The first ever #TeddyTuesday was a success! Held on November 27th to mark Giving Tuesday, Perley Health residents, tenants, volunteers, and staff were invited to bring in their stuffed animals and register them (with a small donation) for the #TeddyTuesday contest.

Stamp marks 100th anniversary of Armistice of 1918
OTTAWA, Oct. 24, 2018 /CNW/ - Canada Post unveiled a stamp today that celebrates the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the First World War, a conflict that irrevocably changed Canada and its status on the world stage.
Lyn Waddell inspired generations of young readers with her historical novels, radio plays and volunteerism. In a final act of kindness, she made generous donations in her will to a series of charities, including the Perley Health Foundation.
At the age of 90, Armold (Robbie) Roberts continues to give back to the community. He and Audrey, his wife of 67 years, reside at Perley Health. “Like many of the residents, Audrey and I enjoy spending time there,” he says simply. “I appreciate the quality of care we receive here and I’m proud to support it.”
As a way of honouring his convictions, Ray Desjardins has made a gift in his will to the Perley Health Foundation. Throughout his life, Ray has had a deep respect and admiration for the men and women who serve their country in uniform- something he learned from his father.
The late Beryl Montgomery (née McCallum) capped off a life of kindness with a generous gift in her will to the Perley Health Foundation. To those closest to Beryl, this final act of kindness came as no surprise; many Canadians of her generation dedicated their lives to community, country and family.

Team Perley Health was the happy winner of the 2018 'Kichesippi Workplace Run-Off' - a contest held by the Kichesippi Brewery for charities participating in Ottawa Race Weekend's Scotiabank Charity Challenge.
