On May 26, 2018 Master Warrant Officer Anthony Cobden participated in the 10K run during the Ottawa Race Weekend. MWO Cobden ran as part of ‘Team Perley Health’, which supports WWII, Korean War, and Other Qualified Veterans at Perley Health.
MWO Cobden, who works for the Canadian Forces Information Operations Group (CFIOG) at CFS Leitrim has been a volunteer at Perley Health for more than 10 years, and the foundation is very near and dear to his heart.
“This is an excellent opportunity to not only raise funds, but bring awareness to the outstanding programs and support that Perley Health provides for our vets transitioning through their final years,” says MWO Cobden.
The team of 20 people was able to raise $17,600 and MWO Cobden himself raised $1,820, making him the top male fundraiser for the team. Perley Health organizers have also stated that MWO Cobden is one of the top fundraisers in Ottawa.
Team Perley Health will participate in Ottawa Race Weekend for the fourth time in 2019. If you’re interested in joining, please contact Sara Francis at 613-526-7173 or sfrancis@prvhc.com.
