For the Belanger family, music became a profound source of connection, comfort, and joy during their father’s time at Perley Health. They credit Music Therapist Tim Cote for his extraordinary kindness and talent, which left a lasting impact on their family.

“Tim was so generous and gracious to play at Dad’s interment—on his day off, no less,” shared a family member. “He chose music he knew would be meaningful, adding so much to the service. Dad would have been thrilled, as would Mom, who is interred beside him.”

Tim’s ability to engage residents like Mr. Belanger through music is remarkable. From one-on-one sessions to group activities like the Bell Choir, Tim creates moments of joy and togetherness.

“We were so impressed by the Bell Choir. My sister and I attended different sessions with Dad, and Tim even got us to play together as an orchestra,” the family recalled. “It was one of the only times Dad ever played music with others—such a special memory for all of us.”

The Belanger family’s gratitude speaks to the heart of Perley Health’s mission: to create meaningful experiences for seniors and Veterans. Tim’s dedication exemplifies the exceptional care that is possible, thanks to your support. Your generosity ensures residents continue to experience moments of connection and joy, making family memories that last a lifetime. Thank you!
