Thanks to your generosity, six Personal Support Workers (PSWs) were able to participate in the Palliative Care Education for Personal Support Workers (PACE for PSWs) program. This national certification has empowered these PSWs to not only develop and grow their skillset, but also share their knowledge with the greater team, amplifying their impact on residents and their families.

“One of the PACE PSWs came to me to say that she loved the PACE PSW course and that she noticed her resident was showing signs of end-of-life,” recalls Christine Boisclair, a Special Approach PSW at Perley Health. “She informed the nurses, which started a cascade of action to end-of-life care, and he died peacefully. She said she felt empowered to advocate because of the course.”
