Marlene is Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and a dynamic relationship-builder with over 15 years of experience in philanthropy, community engagement, and nonprofit leadership. As Development Manager at Perley Health Foundation, she leads initiatives that support impactful programs for Seniors and Veterans—most notably the Bridging Generations Campaign, which brings older adults and children together in shared spaces that foster connection and belonging.

Passionate about turning generosity into lasting impact, Marlene specializes in mid- and major-gift development, corporate partnerships, employee giving, and stewardship. Whether growing the Foundation’s Grateful Family Program or representing Perley Health at community events, she brings strategic focus and heartfelt storytelling to everything she does.

Previously, Marlene served as Development Officer at DeafBlind Ontario Foundation, where she led growth in monthly giving and community partnerships. Earlier in her career, she held roles in women’s advocacy, community recreation programming, and nonprofit outreach across Ontario and in Iqaluit - experience that deepened her commitment to inclusive, grassroots-led change.

Marlene is a lifelong learner and volunteer, with past service on the Board of the Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation. She holds certifications in gerontology and long-term care administration and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP).

Outside of work, Marlene enjoys lifting at the gym, kayaking, and camping with family and friends. She believes generosity is one of the most powerful tools we have to shape a better world—and she’s proud to help donors experience the joy of making a lasting impact.
